HI EveryOne,

I have a very very deep Interest in my Blackfoot indian heritage.
How does someone like me (that has about 1/16 in me) be able to earn or given a native american indian name??

Just wondering / curious.

you might try googling blackfoot.org and ask there.

other than that use a avatar name such as the one you are using.

if the name feels confortable ok, if not a change might be needed.

it is possible there are name honoring ceremonies in different tribes. I would think a person would have to have been born there and grew up around people,that might want to bestow a name because of a persons merits within a tribe.

I don't realy understand your question can you try to explain what is your concern, that will help me to answer :) . I am not sure that I understand the English of it, don't forget my first language is French.
